Ex-service men Welfare Directorate E-tutor is to educate the Ex-service men (PBOR) childrenss for facing the UPSC standard Armed Service examination. This will them for to getting them into the most prestigious service of our nation.
This online coaching will be given to the students who clear the scholarship examination conducted by the authorities.
The candidates who pass Post Graduation / Graduation + 12th Pass or Candidates who are pursuing his / her final year graduation + 12th Pass are eligible to take up the examination. University Entry Selection preparation will also be given to the focus.
Combined Defence Services Examination is conducted twice annually for admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers’ Training Academy. Based on previous years UPSC Annual calendar the examinations for the year 2019 can be expected to be held in November 2018 and July/August 2019. The test series is scheduled with the exam in November 2018 as the target.
The examination consists of 2 parts – written examination and interview. The written examination has three subjects -General Studies, Elementary Mathematics and English. The papers in all the subjects will consist of objective type questions only. All three subjects are allotted 2 hours and 100 marks each. In the written examination the test on all the three papers is conducted in a single day. UPSC Notification for CDS examination 2018 is attached as Appendix I. The proposed tests will be for 100 marks each with duration of 2 hours. The marking system for the tests will be similar to UPSC examination.

Most of the General Studies questions are from the NCERT 6th standard to 12th standard Science and Social Science books.

To provide comprehensive practice for the written examination 75 tests have been devised. The number of tests in General Studies, Elementary mathematics and English are 25 each. The test series also includes 5 tests that simulate the UPSC pattern of the written examination (all three subjects in a single day). There will be 15 subject-wise full tests and 3 mock tests that will contain past year UPSC CDS questions. The schedule of the test series is presented in Appendix II.
The approximate duration of the test series is 8 months. The first test and last test are scheduled on 20.04.18 and 11.11.18 respectively. An average of 12 tests will be conducted in a month in the first 6 months. The mock tests will be conducted in September, October and November.
Mentors will be arranged to interact with students and guide them when needed.
